In-clinicTeeth Whitening is a treatment performed at our clinic by our experienced dental physician. First, our dentist cleans the surface of the tooth or teeth, before applying a whitening gel onto the tooth. The gel is activated with UV light technology. This procedure takes about an hour. Alternatively, in Laser Teeth Whitening, a laser can be used to activate the whitening gel, greatly reducing the time of the treatment.
This method combines the two afore mentioned treatments, where In-clinic Tooth whitening is supported by Home Tooth whitening. However, the treatment at home will only last for 2 or 3 days.
This method of treatment that is applied to the interior of a single tooth. It’s also known as, “Dermocatalytic Bleaching” or “Walking Bleaching”. In some cases an individual tooth might become discoloured for a variety of reasons, such as: being affected by a trauma; or from benig exposed to amalgam used in previous treatment; or chemicals zinc oxide and iodinated solutions etc. used in previous root canal treatment, or due to a systemic disease.
The whitening gel is introduced into the cavity after the old filling has been removed, and a temporary filling is used to keep the whitening gel in place. This will be repeated over several sessions until the desired whitening has been achieved.
