How is the healing process for Dental Implants?

The healing after implant treatment takes longer compared to classic treatments. It takes 3 to 5 months for the titanium structure to fuse into jaw bone and any treatments to jaw bone or sinus lifting procedure will make this time go up to 6 months. After this time results are much more satisfying and long lasting.

How many visits are required for tooth implants?

It usually takes three to four days for the implant treatment. Your first visit will be consultation, the second for the implant surgery, and two days later for a checkup.
As Fusion time for bone to implant varies between patient’s, another visit will be required after 3-6 months for the attachment of crowns and, if necessary, bridges.

I am missing a lot of teeth, How many can be replaced with dental implants?

There is no limit to dental implants as long as you have a healthy mouth. If one or several teeth needs replacing, a bridge can be done between implants. Using dental implants, we can replace a row of teeth and even a complete set of teeth. If you lost all of your upper teeth for example, 8 to 10 implants need to be inserted into the upper jaw.

Is dental implant a painful procedure?

No, dental implant operation is done under local anesthesia. For people who are afraid of needles we also do anesthesia without needles.
You will not experience severe pain. You may experience some pain during first day, we can easily get this under control with painkillers.

Who can use dental implants?

Dental implants are suitable for adult patients from any age and are usually requested by older patients. Implants are not recommended for patients under the age of 18.
It is important for patients with diabetes to inform us about it before the surgery, we will need a blood test for Hemoglobin A1C before treatment. If the patients’ blood sugar levels are too high, the body will not accept the implant.

How long is the dental implant Procedure in Turkey?

In general if you are healthy, you can have dental implant surgery. In some rare situations like: mouth cancer, severe diabetes and severe bone (density) loss may prevent you from getting dental implant treatment.
In Dental Arts Turkey, first we will evaluate your current health to make sure Implant surgery is suitable for you.
When you are ready to receive implants, it only takes 2 visits for your treatment to be completed. After a mandatory 3 months healing process your porcelain crowns will be placed.
It is required to wait for implants to fuse into your jaw bone.

Is there any risks that dental implants may harm my body?

Dental implants are manufactured from titanium. Titanium is a nontoxic material that is highly biocompatible with the human body and does not cause any allergy risks.

Are Dental Implant applications suitable for me?

It is not recommended for individuals receiving radiotherapy or chemotherapy and any systematic disease that is under observation. If the disease is under control, anyone can receive implant treatment. If enough bone density cannot be observed during examination, implants can be placed after required bone density is achieved with additional treatments.

Are Dental Implants Long-Lasting?

The life of the dental implant is like natural teeth. It can be used for many years as long as normal oral and dental care is done properly.

What happens if I have a problem with dental implant?

On the highly unlikely situation of implant separating from patients jaw bone, we will consider patients bone health and if possible we will replace the implant with a new slightly bigger implant. These rare conditions usually occur within three months after surgery and when the patient does not carefully follow oral care instructions.
Smoking after implant surgery has a detrimental effect on bone growth and will cause an implant to not fit properly in the jaw bone.
